Swift - 1st Bus Rapid Transit in WA

Public transportation is the key to living sustainably. Swift, the 1st every Rapid Transit in Washington state will begin on Nov. 30th.
There will be a FREE public event on Sunday Nov. 29th.

Marysville Community Garden..What a Pea Patch

Marysville Healthy Community Initiavtive inspired two community gardens, one being the WilcoxPropertyCommunityGarden where individuals grew their own plots of food as well as growing food for the Marysville Food Bank

Learn About Community Currency

Fourth Corner Exchange is a sustainable community currency based in the Pacific Northwest.  From their small beginning in 2004 they have grown to over 800 members exchanging a large selection of goods and services in Jefferson, Island, Snohomish, Skagit and Whatcomb Counties.

A world of economic freedome and justic for all, where communities have access to a fair and equitable universal medium of exchange, issued by the people  to meet the needs of the communities.

Foundation for Sustainable Community

The Foundation for Sustainable Community was formally organized and recognized as a 501(c)(3) in the summer of 2004. 

The foundation was created to support and promote the building of sustainable communities around the world.  They are committed to fostering harmonious relationships that honor the natural world and humanity.

Sharing Wheels Helping People Help Themselves

In 1999, Ron Toppi worked in a local bike shop, not being able to serve peope who could not afford the prices for maintenance of their bikes spurred Ron to salvage old bikes, parts, to provide free maintenance and then he donated these bikes to the Everett Gospel Mission.

Ron's vision for helping people to help themselves has created a sustainable reuse, repurposing model in a 501(c)3 non-profit called Sharing Wheels.  Listen to Geoffrey Crofoot volunteer, member or the board of directors for Sharing Wheels.

Yes, Solar Power Is Viable In North Puget Sound

Solar Energy is a largely untapped source of renewable energy the in the Puget Sound region.  Listen to Chris Herman a 22 yr veteran of solar, past president of Solar Washington and owner of Winter Sun Designs in Edmonds. Access to Healthy Food
