A Conversation with Overton Berry, Drift Chamber - Mon 6pm
THIS WEEK: The Drift Chamber features piano player, Overton Berry, recently inducted into the Seattle Jazz Hall of Fame. Some writers refer to him as one of the northwest musical legends. He has also played in Japan, and Egypt, was the musical director for the 1962 Seattle World's Fair where Peggy Lee performed. Overton Berry came to the Northwest in elementary school and graduated from Garfield High School, alma mater of other music legends such as Quincy Jones, Ernestine Anderson and Jimi Hendrix.
