Michael Stein

Hi, it’s Michael Stein. Like so many of us in the Pacific Northwest, I love the incredible natural environment we get to live in. I also love a good story...and I feel very lucky to get to combine those things in my work with “Birdnote”, where I’ve helped narrate some wonderful stories of birds, nature, and the people caring for them, for nearly 20 years.

I’ve always been a big fan of great radio, too, and was so inspired by the energy and excitement of the Pop and Rock stations I grew up on (KJR/ Seattle, KISW/ Seattle, and solid ‘local’ spots like KRKO/ Everett), that my dream was turned into reality. Being part of the team at KPLZ, Seattle, KZAM, Bellevue, and KYYX, Seattle was a blast!

It’s a privilege to join KSER, with its’ deep history and love of our community, and I look forward to sharing some fine music and connection with you soon.
