This September, The Esoterics will perform a series of choral concerts inspired by the poetic contemplation of the eternal. ÆONIA, coming from coming Latin word for ‘eternity,’ will feature new and recent compositions by the ensemble’s founding director Eric Banks, the group’s composer-in-residence Donald Skirvin, and the three winners of POLYPHONOS, The Esoterics’ annual choral composition competition: Stephen Feigenbaum, Joseph Gregorio, and Iman Habibi. The opening concert of our inaugural season at Benaroya Hall is coming up in just a few weeks: Beethoven Piano Quartets with violinist Liza Zurlinden, violist Jason Fisher, and cellist Nathan Whittaker, on Sunday, October 6, at 7 pm.
