1. Election of members to the KSER Board of Directors
- 2016 ballots will be mailed at least 15 days prior to the annual meeting.
- If you are a member of KSER/KXIR and do not receive a ballot by mail by August 2, pick up one at the station during normal business hours.
- All ballots must be mailed in the ballot reply envelope so that they are received at the P.O. Box by 4 p.m., Aug. 9, 2016. Or you may deliver your ballot in person at the start of the annual meeting at 5:30 p.m., Aug. 9, 2016.
2. Review how KSER and KXIR have served the community over the past year
Vote on Bylaws Revisions
The KSER Foundation Annual Meeting will be followed by the August meeting of the KSER Board of Directors. At the August board meeting, the KSER Board of Directors will vote on changes to the KSER Foundation Bylaws.
The KSER Foundation Bylaws were last revised in June 2012. A Bylaws Committee was formed in February 2016 to conduct a thorough review and make recommendations to the board. Those recommendations include:
- Update language to reflect that the Foundation now operates two stations
- Provide a means for voting via methods other than in person
- Streamline the process around the Community Advisory Board
- Provide additional clarity
According to the KSER Bylaws, bylaws may be amended by the affirmative vote of two-thirds of the Directors, provided that at least 15 days notice of proposed changes be given to the members prior to the meeting of the Board of Directors considering such proposed amendments.
