From John Peterson, Publisher Poetic Matrix Press
Our 2013 Summer Season of Poetry campaign on Indiegogo is LIVE! Details at http://www.poeticmatrix.com/summer2013 Utilizing our new Fully-Funded Project Financial Development model we intend to raise $12,000 to advance book production and Press development. With this 2013 Summer Season of Poetry campaign we invite you to be co-producers with us of fine poetry. Up for publication are three books: Spangling Darkness by Raphael Block, Malala by Lyn Lifshin and Landscape of Humming Bird and a Woman by Joe Milosch.
PoetsWest endorses this campaign: A worthy press and a great idea of funding a project before it is undertaken. Even donations of $10 help in this effort and you contribute to “the quality of our contemporary culture with … language, ideas, truth, beauty, and love” as stated so well by John Peterson.

Blended Classroom + Online Fiction Writing
We are considering offering a certificate program in Writing for Musical Theatre. We would like to collect information regarding the level of interest in the Puget Sound community. We expect this program to offer training to aspiring Book and Lyric writers. If this program would be important to your goals in the next few years, or if you know other individuals to whom you might recommend a program in Writing for Musical Theatre, please send me a note at rray@pce.uw.edu. Include any feedback or comments you may have about the curriculum, schedule, or related concerns. In these challenging times, it’s crucial to muster support for existing, as well as new, initiatives in the Arts -- and every voice is important.
