Promoted in the 1980s by Reagan and Thatcher, it is driving the planet and humankind into an untenable situation. Henry Giroux, a leading social and political critic, teaches at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario. He has written many books and is a member of Truthout‘s Board of Directors and a regular contributor to the nonprofit, independent online news organization.

THIS WEEK:  A Healthy More Resilient Brain with Brant Cortright, Ph.D. Brant Cortright, Ph.D. brings brain research into a new dimension by putting it into a holistic health context. Cortright’s lessons about brain health incorporate body, heart, mind, and spirit.

THIS WEEK:  Ladd Everitt of the Coalition to Stop Gun Violence discusses the impact of the San Bernardino and Colorado Springs mass shootings on the gun control debate and climate activist Heather Doyle talks about the abuse she and others suffered following their arrest for civil disobedience. And, Food & Water Watch's Patty Lovera discusses their opposition to the FDA’s approval of genetically modified salmon.
