Jillian at KSERJillian Ingram began her career in non-commercial media as a volunteer at SCAN community media in Seattle in 1997.

While finishing her degree in Communications and Sociology from the University of Washington, she interned at KBCS in Bellevue as a reporter for their program Voices of Diversity and worked as an Assistant Producer for the KCTS documentary Perfect Illusions: Eating Disorders and the Family.

In 2002, Jillian was awarded the Marty Wilson Memorial Scholarship for excellence in broadcasting through the University of Washington. After graduation, she went to work for SCAN full time teaching video production and media literacy to youth, seniors, and marginalized communities in the greater King County area before moving on to serve as the Interim General Manager for KCWU FM at Central Washington University in Ellensburg.
